As a petite woman, it can be really difficult finding clothes that aren’t either too big or too long. But I recently tried some Mountain Hardwear items and couldn’t believe how well they fit. And the pants even come in 3 different lengths: 30” short, 32” regular and 34” long (actually the sizes seem to run smaller than most companies, so if XS is normally too big for you, the Mountain Hardwear XS might be ideal).
The design and quality of the Snowtastic softshell jacket is top notch. The waterproof DryQ Elite technology will keep you dry, the welded seams keep out the cold, the “Butter Jersey” cuffs keep out the snow and the Micro-Chamois-lined chin won’t chafe your skin. The attached hood sports a stiff front edge to keep it from flopping down into your face and also has one-handed drawcords that make it easily adjustable for a perfect fit.
I think the Snowtastic pants might be the softest I’ve ever felt – the material is seriously so smooth and comfy. It’s called Synchro NBT and it’s designed to keep the heat in while repelling the wet & cold. The pants also have belt loops if you want a snugger fit, built-in powder cuffs for keeping snow out and zippers down almost the entire length of the legs to help circulate the air if you get too warm.
The fantabulous Snowtastic Jacket & Pant duo should be strong contenders in the running if you’re looking for great fitting, high-quality winter gear. With sizes from XS to XL, there’s sure to be a piece that is a perfect fit for you.
