I feel like I've been stuck in a cycle of buying cheap, disposable gloves the past couple of seasons. I try to ski 100 days every year and the cumulative wear from that builds pretty quickly, especially on a pair of gloves. My solution to this has been to buy cheap gloves knowing they'll probably wear out by the end of the season. Hestra, with its Henrik Windstedt Pro Glove, however, may have shattered this paradigm.
When my Windstedt Pros arrived in the mail, the first thing that I noticed was the fit: it's is the most comfortable glove I've ever tried on. Go to a store and try a pair on, you won't be disappointed. The construction pretty quickly stands out as well: they're not the cheap gloves I'm used to. Built from high quality leather, they feel like they're designed to last a lifetime and they're doing exactly that. I've logged over 30 days since getting them and they still feel and look like they're brand new.
If I were to file one complaint, it'd be that they sometimes ski a little cold for me. Living in Wyoming and having grown up in bitterly cold Vermont are probably major culprits here. The Windstedt Pros also seem slightly lighter than Hestra's other models. If warmth is a major factor for you, try one of Hestra's other models and you'll be just fine.
