It’s really hard to go wrong with any Dragon goggles. From the discontinued Mace goggles (my favorite goggles for many years) to the Rogues (the TJ Schiller version super sick!) to the full-size APX goggles, they’re all killer. Well, this season I received a brand new pair of Dragon Gigi Ruf APXs goggles and these quickly moved up into my top spot for Dragon goggles.
I used the Dragon APX goggles a lot last season and was really happy with them, but always felt like they were slightly bigger than I needed. The fit with a helmet on was always pretty snug. The good news this season is that Dragon released the medium-sized APXs goggles and they’re absolutely perfect for me. I still get all of the great peripheral vision, luxurious feeling face foam, zero fogging and the relatively easy lens changing capabilities of the APX goggles, but in a slightly smaller package. These goggles are so rad. The lenses have no distortion, everything looks crisp and clear and these goggles fit helmets even better than the full-size APX version. The Gigi APXs goggles are easily some of my new favorite goggles this season and the Charlie Brown inspired strap is pretty entertaining as well.
The Dragon Gigi Ruf APXs goggles are perfect for both men and women with medium and smaller faces who want ultra-premium goggles and unsurpassed optics. They’re definitely worth the splurge and are the best Dragon goggles I’ve ever owned. That’s saying a lot.
