DaKine Network Laptop Backpack Review

Planes, Trains and Automobiles. My new Dakine Network Backpack travels everywhere with me and easily carries all of my necessary portable electronics and gear when I’m on the run.

I travel all year long for work and chasing snow and finding a backpack that actually works well, is durable and can handle some serious abuse is a rarity. Luckily, the Network seamlessly integrates into my nomadic lifestyle and keeps me organized, which isn’t easy to do. My favorite features on this bag are the comfy and breathable DriMesh back panel and shoulder straps, padded laptop (up to a 15”) and iPad sleeves, various internal pockets (the mesh pockets are a huge plus when you’re trying to remember where you jammed your iPhone charger), side water bottle pockets and the always important fleece-lined sunglass pocket on top of the bag.

One item that this backpack is missing is waist straps, but if you’re like me, you never used those anyway. The chest strap is all I need for weight distribution and I’m stoked that Dakine didn’t include waist straps on this bag. If you’re in the market for a laptop, school, travel or just badass backpack, then look no further than the Network.
