The 2025 winter forecast predicts an exciting season ahead, with significant snowfall expected in certain areas. The U.S. is likely to experience La Niña conditions, characterized by cooler sea surface temperatures in the Pacific. This shift typically brings heavy snow to regions like the northern Rockies and Pacific Northwest, while the southern U.S. may remain warmer and drier than average.

Northern regions will likely see cold air intrusions and potential polar vortex events, leading to colder-than-average conditions. Skiers and winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to ideal snowfall in higher elevations and northern areas.
