Anybody seen the movie Frozen? Locally heavy snow in the central portion of the state. Light to moderate snow elsewhere. Snow from Sweetwater to Natrona will be accompanied by strong winds. Much colder temperatures. Travel will be very hazardous today and tonight. #wywx pic.twitter.com/PHCBeEKS6P

It will be hard to eclipse last year's record-breaking February, but that's not going to stop us from hoping. Buoying our hopes is the fact that a major winter storm is heading straight for the Tetons, predicted to drop over a foot of snow in Jackson by Friday. After a recent stretch of unseasonably-warm weather, a return to the deep freeze is a welcome change in pace for skiers and snowboarders.

Hopefully this is only the first of many storms to hit Jackson this month, which seems not unlikely considering NOAA's newest "Experimental Unofficial Long-Lead Forecast." It's also worth noting that we're coming off of a record-breaking January, so Ullr is clearly pulling for us this season.
