Lego Reveals New Ski Resort Play Set

Lego Ski Patrol is clearly rocking some type of newfangled toboggan instead of the standard-issue orange version. Lego photo.

It's never too early to start shopping for the holidays, and winter is right around the corner. With that in mind, we'd like to bring one of this year's most exciting new toys to your attention: Lego City's Ski Resort Play Set! Are we sponsored by Lego? No. We just really like building Legos. That said, if any Lego reps are reading this, drop us a line.

What's your favorite part of the set? We like the Jeep. Lego photo.

The set includes a number of exciting components, including a snowmobile, helicopter, halfpipe, two-story ski patrol building, and sport shop. Those readers who have spent time in Jackson might notice something interesting about the sport shop: It uses the exact same font and color-scheme as Hoback Sports, our local ski-and-bike shop.

Coincidence? Probably, but you never know. Maybe the designer(s) were inspired after a visit to Jackson. While the set hasn't been released yet, it's expected to hit shelves both physical and virtual in September.
