Good news for our East Coast brethren: It's snowing at Killington! The resort isn't on track to beat last season's opening date (October 19th), but this is a big step in the right direction. They've been producing man-made snow when temperatures allow, but it's been a warm fall in the Northeast.

Next week's forecast calls for significant precipitation and lowish temperatures, so with any luck we'll be writing about Killington's opening day soon enough. To check on current conditions, take a look at the resort's summit webcam here.
