It’s Absolutely Dumping in Jackson Hole

Kathleen Lyons captured the insanity of the unexpected snowmageddon, check her out on Instagram and Facebook!

It's absolutely dumping in Jackson Hole right now, and we couldn't be happier. A sleeper storm has dumped over a foot on Teton Village overnight. Roads are rough, and parking is tight, but all lifts are open and the locals are out.

MOUNTAIN UPDATE from JHMR:

10 AM - All lifts are open! The roads and parking lots in and around Teton Village are backed up due to the significant snowfall. Our staff if working to make these areas safe. We appreciate your patience

9 AM - Teewinot and Moose Creek lifts are open. All other lifts are on hold due to avalanche control. A foot of fresh snow has covered Rendezvous Mountain with 8 of those inches falling untouched since the lifts closed yesterday. Today is going to be a BIG powder day. Look for accumulating snowfall to continue throughout the day with a winter weather advisory in effect until 5PM tonight. Winds will be consistent out of the SW at 19-21 MPH with temperatures ranging from the mid-20's to low 30's mountain wide. Dreams of the deep will be fulfilled in the high mountain sanctuary today. Bring your fat skis and your game face and get ready for Jackson Holes' reputation to be upheld. Ski hard and stay safe! -MB
