Deep Spring Pow Days at Snowbird This Weekend

They’re still skiing lift-served powder in Little Cottonwood. Snowbird, the only open resort in the state, reported five inches of snowfall on Friday followed by another seven on Saturday, inducing jealousy all across the country.

Unsurprisingly, the lift lines reached ungodly lengths, especially after avalanche mitigation work delayed the mountain’s opening by an hour. What’s more, the tram is closed for spring maintenance, increasing pressure on the Peruvian lift and leading to lines like those pictured below:

Lines notwithstanding, we’re incredibly jealous of those who got to rip pow turns at Snowbird this weekend. The season might be coming to an end, but it’s going out with a bang.
