7:43 AM MST, February 1st, 2016: According to New Zealand new site Stuff, Kiwi mountain bike legend Kelly McGarry has died at age 33 after apparently collapsing on a bike trail outside of Queenstown, New Zealand. According to his sponsor YT Industries, Kelly collapsed - we're not why or from what - on the Ben Lomond trail at 4:14 PM local time today.
YT Industries said in a press release today that "Kelly was a warm-hearted, friendly and relaxed guy. He stood for the true essence of mountain biking through every aspect of his life." Kelly was forever present with a smile on his face and was truly one of the good souls who rolled tires on dirt.
While our brief report does nothing to reflect our gratitude for Kelly's work and role in the mountain bike community, we truly wish that he rests in peace today. Our thoughts and prayers are with his dearest friends and family today, and we will update this report as more news becomes available.

I too hope he rests in (one) piece, but mostly i hope he’s resting in peace
(If it gets fixed, the original article said, quote: “we truly wish that he rests in piece today.”)
