2 National Guard Black Hawk Helicopters Crash At Snowbird

According to the Utah National Guard and local news sources, two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Snowbird’s Mineral Basin on Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m. Miraculously, no crew or bystanders were injured in the accident, though the two helicopters were damaged. The two helicopters were on a training mission when they crash landed in a whiteout on the backside of the ski area. The blade from helicopter struck the other, causing it to flip on its side.

Breaking: We can confirm that two Utah National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters were involved in a training accident at approx. 9:30 a.m. near Mineral Basin. No crew members were injured in the accident. Both UH-60s were damaged. The incident is under investigation.
