Eric Rohr sending in the Stio Eddy Short Sleeve Shirt. Stio photo.
When the long hours of summer daylight hit, I’m often heading straight from the office to the outdoors for après work play. Having a shirt that works for both the office and the outdoors minimizes wardrobe changes, making more time for recreating and less clutter in the closet. Stio may have come up with just such a piece in the Eddy Short Sleeve Shirt.

Sporting two front snap pockets and a steezy color, this is a shirt I can wear to the office or out in town after work. But since it’s made a of Nylon Polyester blended yarn with a WR finish and a 50+ UPF rating, this is a great shirt for a mountain bike ride, hike or rock climb after work as well.
The blended fabric is definitely wrinkle resistant, giving the shirt a smooth look and soft feel while also wicking moisture. The WR finish repels water and dries incredibly fast, making this a great shirt for hot days and high aerobic output sports, as well as a great piece to throw on after a jump in the river.
I’ve also worn it on several all day weekend rock climbs, where temperatures and conditions varied. The Eddy shirt served as a great base layer, wicking moisture and blocking the wind, while providing great ventilation and cooling on hot afternoons when temps heat up. The fabric also has a bit of stretch adding just enough give when making long reaches or more dynamic movements.
Bottom Line: This is a great shirt that you can wear to the office, out on the town or for most outdoor recreation pursuits. The highly technical fabric is wrinkle resistant, fast drying, wicks moisture and still looks great for any occasion. This will be my go-to shirt for just about everything. Available from www.stio.com for $99 in both men’s and women’s versions, short sleeve and long sleeve. -Eric Rohr
