In a truly bizarre piece of police blotter, rapper Whiz Khalifa was apprehended Saturday night at Los Angeles International Airport after refusing to dismount from his hoverboard. Little information is available about the circumstances of the incident, which took place as Khalifa was checking through customs on his return from a European tour. Apparently refusing to dismount from some kind of hoverboard, Khalifa was thrown to the ground, after which point Customs and Border Patrol officers repeatedly shouted at him to stop resisting.
Khalifa's arrest may just have been an elaborate publicity stunt to pump up the value of the stock Khalifa bought in fellow rapper Soulja Boy's own Souljaboards, which Whiz has been spotted on before (all this is completely unsubstantiated). It's more of a Segway-style device than that expensive Lexus stunt we covered earlier this summer, but hover board + rapper + police sure makes for a great headline!
Khalifa remained indignant following the incident on social media, even claiming that the very cops that cuffed him this weekend will soon likely be riding hover boards anyway, maybe even ones he designed. "I stand for our generation," Khalifa tweeted, "and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don't like it eat a dick!

Love that you guys take a actual journalistic perspective rather than putting up clickbait-esque titles to get veiws. Saw your article show up in my Facebook feed, scrolled down and saw the same story from The Vergebut with the title ‘Wiz Khalifa forced to the floor and handcuffed for riding a hoverboard’. Had to make an account just to say this. Thanks for being the realest. <3

You’ll be seeing quite a bit more of this when people film the police apprehending people. If they yell “stop resisting” over and over it gives them more leeway as they beat the person to the ground. Regardless of whether they were truly resisting or not. The police are actually encouraged to lie to people to trick them to capture them. Which means all they have to do is yell out “stop resisting” and it’s going to look like you’re resisting no matter what you do. This dude was clearly and calmly saying I’m not resisting while they were screaming at him. Great police work. (Sarcasm)
