Though most folks who grew up near a hill feel like they were born knowing how to ski or snowboard, there are plenty of us flatlanders out there that willingly stepped into bindings for the first time well after puberty and our first paycheck—all in the name of learning how to have a good time in the snow. Regardless of age, learning to ski and snowboard is a privilege. It’s an opportunity to make winter actually bearable (and fun), as well as a prime chance to up your fitness and travel to some beautiful mountains. But learning to ski and snowboard isn’t easy, nor is it cheap.
But luckily there are dozens of resorts and ski areas across the country are rolling out deals and discounts to celebrate Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month.
It doesn't matter if you're a new parent trying to pawn your grom off on a ski instructor without breaking the bank or trying to help your gaper friend learn for the first time without having your patience worn thin. There are a handful of killer deals that will allow even the most unfamiliar skiers break into the sport without having to take out a second mortgage. Here are just a few of our favorite.
