If you want to be right on the beach don’t want to hear lots of noise at night, consider staying towards the top of South Beach or Mid-Beach. Some large luxury hotel buildings Collins Ave will put you right on the water but will put a little distance between you and Miami Beach’s nightlife.

2. Be Careful in the Sun

The South Florida sun is more intense than most other parts of the country. While you may be hoping to come home from your vacation with a tan, you really need to be mindful about the sun. Nothing puts a damper on a Florida vacation like a nasty sunburn. If you burn early on in your trip, you’ll have to cover up every time you set foot outside. Prevent burning by wearing a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. When you’re on the beach, be sure to spend most of your time under an umbrella.

3. Leave Room in Your Budget for the Beach
