The Snow League, founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, revealed its snowboard athlete roster for the first season.
The roster features 36 athletes (20 men and 16 women) selected via the World Snowboard Points List (WSPL) standings, with 32 confirmed and four wildcard spots pending. Athletes will compete in the global halfpipe season for a $1.5 million prize pool and the Snow League World Championship title.
Notable competitors include Olympic gold medalist Ayumu Hirano (JPN), 2024 Crystal Globe winner Mitsuki Ono (JPN), and Maddie Mastro (USA). Phenoms like 14-year-old Gaon Choi (KOR), the youngest X Games gold medalist, and 17-year-old Beatrice Kim will throw down amongst seasoned veterans like Xuetong Cai (CHN) and David Habluetzel (SUI).
The league's debut event takes place March 7-8, 2025, at Aspen Snowmass, with a free qualifying round and ticketed finals featuring a head-to-head competition format. Tickets to attend the finals in person are $50 and Colorado residents qualify for a 50% discount.
