PODCAST: Getting to Know Ryan Hudson

Only the anticipation of a sick Alaska mission could make a guy smile like that. Matthew Tufts photo.

The first two things that come to mind about Ryan Hudson are that he's one of the most laid back, friendly humans I've ever met, and also one of the most interesting. After a full weekend of TGR premieres (you know how tiring that can be if you've ever been), Dark Starts, the Backcountry Splitboard Podcast rallied Ryan for a quick chat. Actually, the episode is more than two hours, but Ryan's charm and amazing life story will keep you captivated. The episode touches on how he came to love snowboarding, his new film, his relationships with mentors like Jeremy Jones and Chris Rutgers, and the brands that support him like Jones Snowboards and Patagonia, and even the best Mexican food in Salt Lake City. If you can't wait to see Mountain Revelations, give this a listen and it'll tide you over for at least a little while.
