Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort is up for sale. One group wants to make it community-owned – KGW

Mt. Bachelor is for sale and Sun River locals are looking to buy! This would be a huge win for the ski community up in Oregon as it takes one more ski area out of the grips of the enormous and ever-ambitious corporations such as Vail and Alterra and leaves it in the possession of locals. Right now, a few motivated locals are spearheading the fundraising efforts and have been met with overwhelming support from the community. It's still too early to tell, but with a couple large-scale investors interested, it's looking promising that this might be a win for the little guy! Stay tuned.
