Mountain Bike Pedal Causes Wildfire

The author took this shot in Montana during her summer as a firefighter. Leslie Hittmeier photo.

The Inyo National Forest wrote on its Facebook page yesterday the cause of the 122-acre Rock Creek fire in Eastern Sierra Nevada was a bike pedal strike to a rock. "A fire ignition from this type of trigger is a testament to how dry the area is," they wrote.

The purpose of the post was to get the news out that when conditions are dry enough, something as insignificant as a metal pedal striking a rock can start a fire.

The Rock Creek Fire is 100 percent contained.

Leslie is a freelance writer and photographer. Storytelling is her focus and she spends her time following badass skiers and climbers around in their natural habitats. As an obsessed skier and climber herself, she plays and trains in the Tetons.

Wow! Unbelievable that something so small and seemingly harmless can cause this. Fire in a forest can make you look like a real reborn baby by comparison.

This was certainly an exciting first ascent, but we’re hoping this furry guy sticks to trees from now on. - https://harlingenmobiletruckrepair.com

There are several scenarios where one might need to ship a car across states. For example, you may be relocating for a job or school, selling a vehicle to an out-of-state buyer, or maybe you’ve purchased a classic car online from a different state. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HXLAdnvpFk

I’m scared wildfire because it can cause many risks. I see a simulation in bloxd io. So terrible!

This is a good blog and please play game geometry dash meltdown if you have free time.
