Picture it now. You're deep in the backcountry, everything seems to be going perfect. Your tent is pitched, the fire is lit, hobo packets are crisping up nicely in the coals. You walk over to your car and grab your blender, ready to make the perfect frozen marg. THEN, all of a sudden, you realize your idyllic night is not what you originally thought. Everything is ruined. There is no electricity in the woods. You hold the useless, dangling wire of your Ninja in your hands. Your heart begins to race, what if your friends realize they won't be receiving the frozen tequila treats you've been bragging about for hours?
Thankfully there is now a solution: GSI Outdoor's Vortex Blender. The hand cranked, two-speed blender means you will never be stuck with a whole fruit in the wilderness again!

All joking aside, this actually seems rather cool, albeit slightly unnecessary. It could have the potential to take cooking, and more importantly drinking, while camping to the next level. Food-wise, I'm envisioning hearty soups, and perhaps healthy smoothies if you can keep your food frozen for long enough. Weighing four pounds and holding 1.5 L of liquid, the blender fits relatively compactly wherever you may need it to while also ensuring multiple people can enjoy a blended beverage.

Selling retail price at almost $130, the Vortex is definitely an investment in your trunk bar/kitchen, but isn't having crushed ice priceless?
