Will You Back The Kicker Tool?

The Kicker Tool is a few years late behind other DIY tools, like the Banshee Bungee, tailored towards the jib crowd. While companies like Arena Snowparks have been making shaping tools for park rangers for years, none have produced a packable version that caters more towards backcountry users who will otherwise be tediously shaping backcountry booters with avalanche shovels–often snapping them in the process.

The Kicker Tool aims to satiate this niche of the market with a tool that triples as a shovel, snow packer, and rake using aircraft quality aluminum that's a good chunk thicker than the material of your standard avi shovel and a good bit longer as well–the telescoping shaft extends to 56", which should make jump builds faster and less backbreaking. It also fits down to a size that'll fit into most backcountry packs.

Backed by Travis Rice and a number other pros, the Kicker Tool is looking to get started on its first production line via a Kickstarter fundraiser, and is three quarters of the way to its financial goal in barely a week. After that, the Kicker Tool will retail for the rather fair price of $75.
