Please Don’t Dress Like This on Halloween

There are lots of ways to screw up on Halloween, costume-wise. No matter how obvious it might seem that blackface, brownface, and dressing up like a Native American are bad ideas, people still do it. This might be a little controversial, but we'd also say that it's pretty underwhelming to bust out a snowsports-related costume in a ski town. Oh, you like skiing? No way, me too.

On a different note, there are some costumes that aren't just tasteless, but actually dangerous to their wearer. For example, don't dress like a Crip or Blood if your Halloween plans involve a trip to South Central. Or, in the outdoors, don't dress like a deer if your evening plan is playing hide-and-seek on Forest Service land.
