LIVE: Jeremy Jones and Zahan Billimoria on Diversity in the Mountains

One of the greatest things we can do to ally BIPOC in the outdoors is to simply hear their stories. So, that's how Jeremy Jones has been spending his time these days: sitting down and listening to friends and leaders he respects.

Recently Jones hosted an Instagram live with mountain guide Zahan Billimoria. As a brown man in the outdoor community, Billimoria has been outspoken about recent racial injustice and the Black Lives Matter movement. Like his black counterparts, he too has experienced blatant racism, everything from being strangled by a white supremacist to his children being called racial slurs. For him, enough is enough. It's time to stand up for justice. His talk with Jeremy Jones is insightful, powerful, and worth a watch if you're looking to better understand these complex issues.
