The 2022 Vail Winter Mountain Games are coming from February 25-27.
There’s a new party coming to town in the Vail Valley this February 25-27, and we’re stoked to see you there! The Vail Winter Mountain Games are back after a 10-year hiatus with a lineup of events including free concerts, ice climbing demos, USA Skimo competitions, the Fat Tire Bike Challenge and more. The Vail Valley Foundation is excited to host the return of the Winter Mountain Games this year. “This year everyone will get a taste of just how awesome this event is going to be. We’ll have a great lineup of concerts and a weekend of competition, art, and lifestyle celebration that will be a very bright part of this winter in the Rockies,” said Dave Dressman, Event Director of the Mountain Games for the Vail Valley Foundation, “Then in 2023 we’ll turn it up yet another notch with additional competitions and events.”

Live music might just be the best part of both summer and winter Mountain Games events, and the 2022 Winter Games will be no different. This year's Mountains of Music concerts will be free and will take place at the Solaris Concert Stage in Vail Village. VIP ticket opportunities will be available on a limited basis.

One of the key tenets of the winter and summer Mountain Games is that professional and amateur athletes can compete shoulder-to-shoulder on some of the same courses and terrain. If you are interested in competing against the pros, register for events at winter.mountaingames.com.
