She’s Spent the Equivalent of a House for Adrenaline and Silence
Popular Stories
In Claudia Avon's most recent film she seeks out terrain from Colorado to Alaska, and rides clean, deep backcountry lines. She says ultimately she does it for the adrenaline and the silence; for being out in the mountains alone and experiencing all they have to offer.
Avon's struggle to make a career out of her life's passion is apparent in the intro when she says, "I don't want to take myself too seriously to a point where it kind of takes the fun away from it, it just can be really frustrating, like holy shit, I could've bought a house by then."

Yet, I imagine if a house was what Avon wanted, then she would've approached that challenge with the same amount of dedication and zest that she's put into backcountry riding... but it probably doesn't fulfill her requirements for adrenaline and adventure after all.
Finding the balance between real-world responsibility and Alaskan-spine happiness seems to be the theme of the outdoor industry these days. While we're all trying to figure out how to balance both, it's awesome to see Avon out there doing what she loves most.
