Shared Solitude: A Poetic Narrative

The imagery of this short film is powerful, but second string to the poetic narrative of ski mountaineer Christina Lustenberger. Her notion of shared solitude may seem like an oxymoron...at first.

“I’ve spent time running, camping, skiing alone, but I’ve never felt a sense of loneliness in the mountains,” said Lustenberger, known by many as Lusti. “It’s just quiet and you’re in your thoughts and it’s just simple. Everything seems to make sense in the mountains.”

Forrest Coots and Eric Hoji join her out in the Great Cairn Hut where she definitely gives these guys a run for their money. Check out her blog of the trip here
