According to CNN, the second avalanche in less than a month hit Tignes ski resort in the French Alps on Tuesday, March 7. Police originally announced that many skiers were swept up with the snow that slid, and they later confirmed that nobody had been trapped by the avalanche and there were no fatalities.

A full rescue operation began promptly after the slide and the area was extensively searched. The avalanche was reported to have stemmed from the Grande Balme off-piste section of the resort and then swept across La Carline slope. The resort had accumulated 30cm of fresh snow since Saturday. The avalanche risk was measured to be a 4 out of 5, with parts of the resort already being closed off.
