Samsung Film Challenges Us All To Survive & Thrive

I’ve always pegged myself as more of a komodo dragon or octopus (octopi don't think their date and dinner are mutually exclusive, I’ll have you know), but after watching Samsung’s latest ad, “THE SNAIL,” where a young boy in India pushes beyond his physical and cultural limitations to connect with a world of surfing he's only seen on his phone, I’m adding snail to the mix.

Samsung parallels surfers and snails, saying the latter's like the former because they don’t hold back, they're not lazy lumps and, most of all, they don’t think they can’t. They may be grey and slimy, but if being those (plus ball-shaped) means being intrepid and fearless, I'm game.

If a snail can, you can, so go paddle until you think you might have to amputate your arms.
