These Skiing Robots are a Bunch of Jerrys

While the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang is in full swing, South Korea is also hosting the world’s first robot ski tournament. 

“Edge of Robot: Ski Robot Challenge,” featured 8 teams from local universities and tech companies. Despite their heinous performances, Kim Dong-Uk–the event organizer–said, “I think robots will have their own Winter Games on the sidelines of the Olympics held by humans.”

Mr. Dong-Uk can dream all he likes, but right now he should worry about the fact that his robots have all the ski coordination of a newborn deer.
