Riding Spines in Kyrgyzstan With the Connections Movement

A few years ago, splitboarder Rafael Pease decided to embark on an adventure unlike any he had thought of before. He decided to travel the world with his board, exploring faraway cultures and learning how they lived with and connected to the mountain environments around them. This has brought him and his crew to places ranging from the Andes, the Yukon, Japan, and now the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.

In the newest Connections Movement short, Pease spent 10 days amassing 48,700 vertical feet and over 107 miles of touring in the Kyrgyz mountains, riding massive couloirs and spines far away from civilization.
