REPLAY AND RESULTS | FWT 2023 Fieberbrunn

After an unexpected weather delay earlier in the week, the first competition of the 2023 FWT finals went off on the legendary Wildseeloder venue in Fieberbrunn, Austria. This marked the first round of the 2023 FWT finals, and riders put down some memorable runs down one of the gnarliest venues of the season.

Snowboard Men

USA's Jonathan Penfield kept his consistent season alive with a big line to take the win, airing into the approach of the classic Häusl cliff, before taking a cross-court transfer at high speed. France's Ludovic Guillot-Diat held on to his gold bib with a distinctive creative line to gain him second place, with Mexico's Liam Rivera rounding off the podium.

Snowboard Women

Canada's Katie Anderson linked pristine powder turns into a large close-out cliff and finished with a clean bottom section with multiple airs to claim the top spot. Her near-perfect run cemented her untouchable lead over the rest of the field, setting her up with the overall FWT title. Local hero Manuela Mandl finished in second place, a great way to end her FWT career as she announced this would be her final competition. Russia's Anna Orlova took third, showcasing her signature hard-charging style.

Italy's Arianna Tricomi returned to competition triumphantly, taking her first win in her first pro comp since coming back from injury. She showed her signature freeride skills, linking high speeds and technical skiing with a trademark 360 in the lower section. Canadian Justine Dufour-Lapointe took the overall rankings lead with a solid run to finish in second, with France's Megane Betend finishing third.

Ski Men

Alta local Andrew Pollard delivered a fluid first-place run from top to bottom, starting with a huge 360 at pace above the Häusl cliff, before sending it deep off the nose and sending another 360 down low. Switzerland's Maxime Chabloz completed an exhilarating run, full of high-speed tricks to claim second, with France's Oscar Mandin finishing in third.
