Red Bull Rampage Returns to Virgin, Utah
Popular Stories
The biggest names in freeride mountain biking will soon make their pilgrimage to the Utah desert. Red Bull Rampage returns for its 19th edition this fall, with two days of jaw-dropping progression in the infamous zone outside Virgin, Utah. The women’s final will go down on Thursday, October 16, followed by the men on Saturday, October 18.
2025 marks only the second time female freeriders participate in Rampage, after last year's landmark debut that blew the doors wide open for the future of women's freeride.
Over several days, riders and their dig crews carve lines into the unforgiving cliffs by hand, blending freeride artistry with steep consequence. The Utah venue has produced some of the most legendary moments in MTB history, with past winners including Cam Zink, Brett Rheeder, Kurt Sorge, Kyle Strait, and Andreu Lacondeguy.
The event is invite only, a mix of freeride giants pulled from last year's podium along with handful of wildcard picks. The official 2025 roster is still unreleased, but we have our suspicions. Surely to return is freeride magician Brandon Semenuk. The Canadian may be similarly to Rampage what John John is to Pipeline-- deeply intertwined, comfortable under high-exposure, and always clutch. He's won the contest five times, including last year.
Also predicted to return is Robin Goomes, Kiwi freeride powerhouse and the first ever female Rampage winner. We're still reeling from her last year's finals run.
