Rampage Was Canceled, But That Didn’t Stop Kyle Strait

October is a magical time to be in the desert of Southern Utah. With perfect temps, generally dry weather, and riding elsewhere getting sloppy, it’s no wonder that the world’s best mountain bikers gather every year for a few weeks of red dirt shredding centering around Red Bull Rampage. Unfortunately, 2020 threw a wrench into those festivities, canceling the event and preventing most riders from traveling to this mecca of freeride. Despite that, a few riders did show up – including none other than two-time winner Kyle Strait. Hey, as the only rider to have competed in every Rampage since its inception, he didn’t want to miss another desert season. I’d like to add that its especially impressive that Kyle went out and rode all these features without the infrastructure of an event like Rampage surrounding it – props to you, sir.
