Why would Jackson Hole Mountain Resort sponsor a professional surfer? Well, it turns out that Ian Walsh is an excellent snowboarder on top of his world-famous surfing skills. The Maui native is a big fan of Jackson Hole, consistently visiting the resort to enjoy the unparalleled inbounds terrain. After he and Mark Carter began shredding in the Tetons, Walsh discovered a new passion for snowboarding.
From my very first visit to Jackson Hole the place completely captivated me; the people, the mountains, the space, the town, and everything in between. I learned how to snowboard at JHMR and I haven’t missed a winter trip since, even at the cost of a few big swells.
