Pressure Drop: Teal Harle’s Backcountry Debut
Popular Stories
The spotlight often finds Teal Harle on the world's biggest slopestyle podiums, measured in spins, grabs, and impeccable technique. However, nothing truly prepares an athlete for the sheer scale of the big mountain. TGR witnessed Teal Harle’s first-ever heli-ski drop with Great Bear Heli in the wilds of British Columbia.
Out here, the features aren’t shaped—they’re carved by time, wind, and storms. The B.C. interior is a different beast: massive, raw, and humbling. Teal has grown up on the B.C. coast, finding his rhythm fly fishing, but this was a whole new level. The segment captures his heli-skiing firsts—the quiet focus, the deep breath, the drop-in moment.
The segment shows his growth in real time as he moves from contests to freeride. Because in the big mountains, sending it is never as effortless as the final cut implies. It’s a glimpse into the moment Teal Harle stopped being “just” a slopestyle guy—and became a full-blown big-mountain rider.

Fueling the Mission
Teal’s first heli-drop into the wilds of British Columbia wouldn’t have been possible without the crews and brands who keep missions like this alive. Huge shoutout to Great Bear Heli for opening the door to truly massive terrain and giving Teal the perfect stage for his first big-mountain strike.
On the gear side, Norrøna and Atomic had Teal dialed—technical outerwear and precision skis built for exactly this type of high-consequence riding. And rounding out the support that powers the entire Pressure Drop production, big thanks to SunCruiser, Tincup Whiskey, and Nissan for keeping the stoke high and the wheels turning from start to finish.
