POV: Opening Week at the Whistler Bike Park with Jesse Melamed

The Whistler Bike Park is a well-designed, immaculately-sculpted monument to mountain biking, full of perfect berms and huge jumps. However, by the end of its season, the thousands of skid marks, braking bumps, and ruts can make for a rather bumpy experience, despite the best efforts of Whistler's world-class trail maintenance team. That said, if you're lucky enough to ride the park early in the season, odds are that you'll have one of the smoothest rides of your life.

For example, check out Jesse Melamed's POV from opening week at the Whistler Bike Park. In his own words, the trails are so smooth that he can (and did) ride them with a flat tire. Even considering that Melamed is a top-ranked racer on the Enduro World Series circuit, the Whistler trail team clearly did a hell of job preparing for Whismas 2020.
