Polartec’s newest clothing technologies: SIA 2017

Here is a sneak peek of the newest 2017 Mountain Hardwear base layer with Polartec fabric technology. The power-wool base technology uses a unique plated construction that allows the Merino Wool blend to be alongside your skin, permitting breathability and moisture management. The wicking wonders of the inside are combined with a synthetic outer layer on the outside. "It harnesses the natural power of wool but solves for its shortcomings at the same time," says Fielding Miller.

Also new from Polartec includes the Alpha-direct insulation layer which incorporates the idea of the breathable puffy that was developed for military use and will now be on the market for everyone to enjoy, as well as the Neoshell outer layer that's both waterproof and breathable. Sounds like some pretty advanced clothing will be coming our way this fall from Polartec.
