Pizza or French Fry? Fischer Drops $250 “French Fry” Skis
Popular Stories
In what might be the most "out-of-left-field" collaboration of the season, legendary ski manufacturer Fischer Sports has teamed up with Ore-Ida to create a limited-edition "French Fry" ski. This isn't just a gimmick for the lodge; it’s a fully functional tribute to the universal language of ski school. We’ve all been told to "French fry", and now you can do it literally on a pair of planks designed to look like giant crinkle-cut fries.
Real Tech, Salty Style
Despite the playful aesthetic, featuring golden fry graphics, a ketchup-red backdrop, and simulated crinkle-cut ridges, these are serious tools for the mountain. Underneath the potato-inspired top sheet lies the Fischer Ranger 90. This model is known as an all-mountain powerhouse.
With a 90mm waist, these skis are built for versatility in every condition, from carving firm groomers to hunting for leftovers in the trees. Moreover, they are available in five lengths—142cm, 152cm, 162cm, 172cm, and 182cm. This ensures that whether you're a grom or a seasoned vet, you can represent the spud.

Catch Them at the X Games
If you want to see these beauties in person before the official drop, head to Aspen Snowmass for the X Games from January 23–25. Ore-Ida will be hosting a "fry-forward" après moment. At the event, fans can actually demo the skis and, of course, refuel with some hot, crispy fries between laps.
How to Score a Pair
The best part? These aren't going to break the bank. The limited-edition skis are retailing for just $250, a massive discount compared to the standard Ranger 90 pricing.
They officially go on sale February 1st on Amazon and at select retailers in Oregon and Idaho—the heartland of the American potato.
