41” Of Pow And 40 Funky Shapes – The 2016 Jackson Hole Pow Wow

You know when a fellow Pow Wow'er rolls up in a rig like this, you're in for a good time. Aaron Lebowitz from Montana-based Soul Motion Snowboards had a radical pow and wave-chasing machine here, parked amidst the dumping snow. Ryan Dunfee photo.

The Jackson Hole Pow Wow – an event created by Rob Kingwill and which completed its third iteration this past week – offered all kinds of snowboard freaks (including ourselves) the opportunity to check out a wild diversity of powder and all-mountain shapes, from the assymetrical Gnu Zoid to the monstrously wide and swallow-tailed Soul Motion Goldfish.

SNOWBOARD PORN! Check out all of next winter's best snow gear here

With so many shapes on tap to try and a four-day storm cycle that puked more than 40" of snow on the Tetons and all over Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, it was incredible luck and timing that provided us office dorks with some of the best riding all season.

Check out the documented carnage and look forward to more content from the Pow Wow and our comprehensive snowboard test next fall.

all these new surfy shapes make me think about snowboarding a lot more!

Of course the crew gets

The Best Photos From The 2016 Dick’s Ditch Banked Slalom in Jackson Hole

Sunshine. Slush. Rain. Snow. Fog. And of course lots of gnar. The 2016 Dick's Ditch Banked Slalom didn't disappoint! Held along Amphitheater, within Dick's Ditch, the course was made up of small whoops, medium sized jumps, and a lot of banked corners which left competitors gasping for air and their legs on fire after crossing the finish. Although the weather didn't cooperate for the entire two day event, the competitors didn't seem to be affected by it, most of them maching and sending the
