The Perfect Canvas: Palisades Tahoe
The decision to host the event at Palisades Tahoe is no accident. The California resort has a deep history with big-mountain skiing. The terrain here is legendary for fostering progression and challenging even the most seasoned riders. Palisades Tahoe features a unique mix of steeps, cliffs, spines, and classic big-mountain features. This natural landscape makes it a truly fitting stage for the tour's ethos of pushing boundaries. Mike Douglas, head of Natural Selection Ski, is stoked, noting that "Palisades Tahoe was made for an event like this".
The Session Format and Path to Alaska
The competition will feature eight of the world's premier freeride and freestyle skiers, consisting of four men and four women. The selection committee for Natural Selection Ski hand-picked these athletes. It is a high-stakes, progression-driven week.
