POC Joint VPD 2.0 Elbow Pad Review

Elbow pads don't need multiple uncomfortable straps or a hard shell.  The Joint VDP 2.0 Elbow from POC is proof of that. The design is simple, clean, and functional. POC uses a fully sleeved pad with one strap to tighten it down. The padding technology allows for maximum flexibility that conforms to your arm. On impact, the pad has the ability to absorb the shock and become rigid.

I fully washed out coming into a left-side berm too hot and was forced to drop my left knee and arm. Thankfully, POC was there to save the day. As my elbow slammed the trail and skidded along the dirt, all was well.

I hopped back on, not skipping a beat, and the shredding continued. The pad took a beating, but besides some dust there was no wear, tear, or signs of abrasion to the fabric. It stayed snug to my arm, fully cupping my elbow, and thanks to a rubber-ish coating on the top-inside part, didn't slide up or down. Once again, POC goes a step further packing in more technology to a clean and simple design, with Polygiene Odor Protection, which I’m sure I’ll be thankful for come the end of summer. If your current pads have seen better days and it’s time for a upgrade, definitely consider checking out what POC has to offer.
