Owen Leeper Went Skiing in The Tetons Yesterday

The picture pretty much says it all. Jackson’s Owen Leeper skied powder on the Middle Teton yesterday. After weeks of smoke and hot temps in the Valley, a storm moved through that encased the area in thick clouds. The valley may have seen nothing but rain, but up high, the mountains saw up to 14” of snow.

Not one to just sit back and relax, Leeper packed up his ski gear and started hiking up 6,000 vertical feet to get the goods on the Middle Teton. So, does this count as the first descent of this season, or the last descent of last season?

It's a long way up to the Middle Teton. Owen Leeper photo.
