Getting to Jackson Hole, in the heart of the Tetons, has always been part of the adventure. Its remote nature is a huge part of its charm, keeping the vibe pure and the lift lines, well, manageable. But let's be real, that middle-of-nowhere location can make travel a headache, especially when winter storms throw a wrench in your connection plans through Denver or Salt Lake.
That's all about to change for our friends on the East Coast.

United Airlines just dropped news that starting this winter, they'll be running direct flights from Washington Dulles (IAD) straight to Jackson Hole Airport (JAC). The new route is set to launch on December 20, 2025, perfectly timed for the holiday season. The airline will run these flights on Saturdays, servicing on a Boeing 737-700. You'll depart IAD at 9:00 a.m. and touch down in Jackson by 11:40 a.m. – leaving plenty of time to score some afternoon laps at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Returning flights will depart from Jackson at 2:30 p.m. and land in DC at 8:45 p.m.
While flying directly into one of the most stunning airports in the country (it's the only one located entirely within a National Park!) comes at a premium, the convenience is undeniable.
