Mammut Safety Series Ep 3: Constant Observation

The biggest challenge of backcountry safety is putting together all the information you gather to form a picture of the situation. We can go dig snowpits, take weather and conditions observations, and practice our rescue skills, but every time we put our ski boots on, we need to distill all that knowledge into a decision-making framework for getting out there. Once in the field, we never stop observing what’s going on and always make sure to communicate what we are seeing. Learn more about some of the skills and techniques we use every day in the field in Episode 3 of the Mammut Safety Series. As always, we trust our Mammut avalanche safety equipment out in the field.
