Mammut Safety Series – Avalanche Safety in Alaska

Knowing when it’s time to push or dial it back is the key to staying safe in the backcountry. It’s a skill that TGR’s athletes and crew have honed through years of experience in the mountains of Alaska, where the massive terrain and abundant snowfall needs to be approached with a large margin for safety. This winter, Mammut Safety Collective athletes Nick McNutt and Kai Jones used this skillset to navigate complex terrain while filming Magic Hour. Learn a little more about their process of staying safe in avalanche terrain and the Mammut tools they use in Episode 1 of the Mammut Safety Series. Find Mammut products at mammut.com.
