Loic Bruni and Miranda Miller Are This Year’s DH World Champions

After an insane UCI DH World Cup season, the world’s fastest DH racers had one more chance to prove their skills at the World Championships in Cairns, Australia. This time they did not race for their teams, but rather for king and country! Well, maybe just for the gold medal, bragging rights, and the chance to call themselves the fastest mountain bikers in the world.

This year’s winners are France’s Loic Bruni, barely beating out hometown hero Mick Hannah and World Cup champion Aaron Gwin for the men’s category. Canada’s Miranda Miller barely edged out favorite and overall women’s World Cup Champion Myriam Nicole and Tracey Hannah.

This concludes an absolutely epic season of DH racing, and we’re already stoked for next year!
