Logan Pehota’s “Oh No!” Line Wins Him A Podium

Logan Pehota is to the ski community as doughnuts (raised, not cake, a debate I should probably save for another time..) are to breakfast foods: he rules the roost. But this mightiest of mighty commendations isn’t just based off his polished style; he’s got some killer commentary, too.

23 seconds into his epic line in Chamonix for the 2016 Swatch Freeride World Tour, Pehota says something that puts viewers on edge. My pulse literally dropped to a critical level for a worrying few seconds.

There he is, cool, calm, and collectedly doing his thing, when all of a sudden he says, “Oh no.” Oh fricken no — not the words you’re looking for as you stand daringly atop a spine atop some pretty savage-looking rocks.

At first, I panicked. I thought he was about to get intimate with the earth beneath him. I almost had to go all palms-to-eyes; I didn’t want to see the spill. But then, in good ol’ Pehota fashion, he sends it, not hesitating one morsel. The result? Meh, just a casual 2nd place.

To that end, "oh no" away, Logan.
