All on Black&nbsp;is an 11-minute artistic ski film born from the creative collision of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.instagram.com/lalo_rambaud/">Lalo Rambaud</a> and <a target="_blank" href="https://www.instagram.com/tucker__carr/">Tucker Carr</a>. From Annecy, France, and Jackson Hole, USA, the duo committed to a full winter season to bring this vision to life.



 Filmed across France, Whistler, and Jackson, the project fuses freeride performance with an experimental aesthetic. Using thermal camera effects, the visuals evolve as snow melts, forests ignite, and heat overtakes the cold. As temperatures rise, the boundary between reality and illusion blurs, transforming the familiar winter ski film into a bold artistic concept.

This year, we&#8217;re diving headfirst into the whimsical imagination that our athletes embrace to turn improbable mental images into reality. Mountains provide the ultimate canvas for our community to evolve dreams into truth, and with no lack of adrenaline-pumping action, this film is also a celebration of the contagious camaraderie and joyous absurdities that make riding on snow a way of life. Esperanto is TGR’s latest action-packed mountain bike film with an added twist. Mixing the rock stars of the sport with a cast of unknown and up-and-coming heroes, the film explores how we share our dreams through a universal two-wheeled language no matter what our native tongue may be. The sacred ritual of the ride might sound different all across the world – whether it’s a full-face getting pulled down to drop into a big jump line or wheeling a beat-up bike out of a mud hut to pedal to school – but it’s a universal process no matter what language we speak.

As we view this visual tapestry featuring next-level riding in unusual locations all across the globe, we hear a voice speaking a language we’ve never heard:


There are more than 7,000 languages spoken on Earth. In 1887 a Polish-Jewish doctor named L.L. Zamenhof created a new one, a universal second language based on a combination of existing widely-spoken European languages. Its goal is to help bring people together from different ideologies, beliefs, and nations and ultimately to help end war. The language was called Esperanto. Translated into English it means ‘one who hopes.’ Today, Esperanto might remain elusive, but the dream of a shared language Spoken Worldwide still flourishes. You just have to know where to look for it.

TGR’s 26th annual film release STOKE THE FIRE explores our athletes’ evolution within skiing and the pure joy that manifests from that process. The stoke means different things to different people based on where they are in their evolution. For some it is about committing to a new world, a lifestyle, and the friendships that blossom from that commitment. The choice to enter this world is a spark, and with every new experience the fire grows. With more knowledge comes more exploration, both physically and geographically, that helps to understand what those raw experiences connected with nature do for the soul. With more experience an examination of our shared history becomes important, and ultimately some of us might want to test our limits at the upper echelon of what is possible by drawing upon the sum of our knowledge and experiences. While the answers we find are different for everyone the pursuit of this evolution is something sacred, the pursuit is what stokes the fire.

 For 25 years TGR has focused on turning Make Believe into reality, from exploring powder stashes in our backyard playground to first descents on unnamed peaks, the ethos of “live the dream” has defined our adventures.

 In the winter of 2017, the magnitude of winter&#8217;s force was on full display. Telephone-pole-snapping storms pounded the Wyoming landscape. Regions to the west, recently left arid and forgotten, were gifted with unprecedented accumulation. Blizzards in Europe buried towns in an instant before disappearing just as fast, leaving the lucky few who were there to wonder if it even happened. A Bolivian expedition found grace above 18,000 feet before the elements went rogue and the humans reluctantly heeded warnings from above.
