Lindsey Vonn Is Back: Wins 2017 Garmisch Downhill

Lindsey Vonn won her 77th World Cup Title yesterday with a blazingly fast victory in the downhill event at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Vonn had been battling a slew of injuries including torn ACLs and a broken arm that prevented her from training properly and attending races.

Vonn finished 0.18 seconds faster than Swiss star Lara Gut, and edged out local favorite Viktoria Rebensburg by 0.48 seconds. She was visibly emotional during her medal ceremony and later posted on Instagram:
